Tikal the echidna is an alternative counterpart to the one that is from the Primary Zone. Similar to her Prime Zone self, she was imprisoned in the Master Emerald with Chaos and has a deep connection with the Chao.
History
Early Adventures
During the events of Sonic Adventure; Tikal and her group of Chao came through the Master Emerald to Earth to help stop Perfect Chaos from destroying Station Square. With their mission a success, Tikal invited Cream's Chao, Cheese, to come with them with her Chao. Cheese decided to stay with Cream as they went back home through the Master Emerald. (SX: #5)
Chao Crisis
Later, the Master Emerald sensed a great danger on Earth in the form of Dr. Eggman's army of evil Chao, which he created from a sample of Cheese. As they were creating havoc in Station Square, Knuckles was guarding the Master Emerald when Tikal, Chaos and her Chao appeared. Knuckles was shocked that she had returned, but she told them of their purpose here and that a great battle had started. Tikal invited Knuckles to join her vast army if he didn't wish to see the planet destroyed.
As Sonic, Tails and Amy were overpowered by the evil Chao in Station Square; Knuckles, Tikal, Chaos and her group of Chao joined the fight. Chaos tried to calm the Chao down, but Tikal informed him that the evil Chao don't speak the same language and they were unable to stop them peacefully. Suddenly, Eggman appeared in his new creation, the Egg Gantor, to force them to surrender. Sonic annoyed by the situation was told by Tikal that they were prepared. She sent a telepathic message to her army of Chao to gather the seven Chaos Emeralds and to give them to Chaos. Chaos became powerful enough to take on Eggman's robot using the positive energy from the Chaos Emeralds. Tikal continued to fight against the evil Chao, until Chuck managed to stop Eggman's signal and transformed the evil Chao back to normal. Chaos transformed back to normal after defeating Eggman and his robot and Tikal offered to take all of the Chao back with them, including Cheese. However, Cheese preferred to stay with his friends and was given a chance to visit them and all he had to do was call Tikal's name. Tikal, Chaos and the Chao waved them goodbye as they left back through the Master Emerald. (SX: #6)
Abilities
She is able is talk telepathically with her Chao and was taught fighting skills by her village elders which she uses in battle.
Personality
She appears to act similar to her Prime Zone counterpart, but is more willing to use violence against the evil Chao when they threatened her friends and the citizens of Station Square.
Background Information
- In the anime, it is shown that Tikal hails from a tribe of echidnas identical to the Knuckles Tribe, the group her Prime Zone counterpart belongs to.
