Background Information
- The book was originally titled Sonic the Hedgehog Who's Who Volume 1 with a different cover. It was also originally set to be released in 2010, but it was put on hiatus until 2012.
- Although this volume is intended by Archie to be the top tier canon source of information, there are numerous errors and contradictory information throughout the volume. For this reason, the encyclopedia is still considered tier 2 canon by this site.
- While the encyclopedia uses some updated versions of character profiles originally published in the comics including Free Comic Book Day 2011, the Mobius Timeline feature is a complete reprint of material already published in Sonic Super Special Magazine.
- Perhaps due to the fact that this is the largest book full of original material from Archie, there are a handful of editing errors in the book. This includes but is not limited to an incomplete sentence on page 10, and the book referring to itself as the "Who's Who" encyclopedia on page 109.
- Several rumors online that became canon in the book include: Remington is indeed the son of Kragok, Abraham Tower did know Maria Robotnik, Silver is from Mobius Prime's future and not an alternate zone, and the Knuckles and Juli-Su of Light Mobius never formally got married.
- Never before known or suspected information that was revealed in this book included: Rob O' the Hedge is actually meant to be the true king of Mercia, there exists a group of Nerb Freedom Fighters, and there have been four Enerjak's in existence on Mobius Prime so far.
- The book depicts the events of the Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) game to have actually occured in Mobius Prime. Since the time travel nature of the game caused the events and the exclusive villains in it to have never existed.
- The encyclopedia explains that when "interracial" Mobian couples have children: they either have twin children that each carry one of the parents' physical traits, or have one child that carries both parents' physical traits.
