Merger with Sonic News Network?[]

Hi, community of Mobius Encyclopaedia. I am an admin at Sonic News Network, the main Sonic Wiki. We wish to propose that our two sites merge. Please don't rush to dismiss the idea; it's completely genuine, and we feel that it would be to the mutual benefit of both sides. I have started a forum at Forum:Merger with Sonic News Network? to present my argument and discuss the idea. Please consider it seriously. Thank you. -- Supermorff (talk) 16:08, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

So, do we have any word on whether or not this is going to happen? Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 06:29, November 13, 2012 (UTC)

Solicitations[]

As I've been updating various articles on issues for the comic series, a thought occurred to me. Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to include the solicits for the various issues as part of their articles? Granted, not all of them are going to be accurate-particularly with regards to the Endangered Species arc-but it might be a valuable addition to the article.--Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 20:31, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

a message from the Archie Mega Man wiki[]

hi, i am an admin on the archie mega man wiki and was wondering if we could have a kind of partnership for the worlds collide series, nothing much but i was wondering if we could (for example) do a sonic article with world collide info and then have a link to your sonic article at the bottom saying to go to your article for information from outside worlds collide? and obviously you could do that for our mega man articles too

Petition Regarding Changes in Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog[]

Hey guys, as you should all know there have been some changes in Archie Comics Publications' Sonic the Hedgehog comic, and if the changes get worse after the crossover event, then it could be bad for long time fans. I made a petition for people to sign to try to reverse or at least stop these changes.

It's official[]

Mobius is dead. http://board.sonicstadium.org/topic/6-archies-sonic-the-hedgehog/?p=779216

Hmm. So now what? P; TheFatPanda (talk) 21:08, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

How about changing the name of the wiki to "The Wiki Formerly Known As Mobius Encyclopaedia" to reflect this. E-124 Poldege
Just call it, "The Archie Sonic Wiki" or "Archie Sonic Encyclopedia" since the web adress doesn't have Mobius Encyclopedia in it. Unless you want to start calling it, "The Mobius Sonic's World Encyclopedia." MeltingMan234 01:17, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

A New Wiki[]

Here's an idea, with the old and new timeline being a mangaled mess, we can either split the categories like this:

Sonic (old Timeline)

Sonic (new Timeline)

Or why not just let them have their own Wiki's? This one will only cover everything in the Old Timeline up to the end of the crossover or something like that, and have the new Wiki only focus on eveything in the New Timeline from issue 252 and so on. Just an idea. MeltingMan234 02:32, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

I'd be open to doing something like that, but not necciserily start a completely new seperate wiki from this one. Is there no way that we can do a "sub-wiki" of some kind? I mean sure, we've abandoned the old continuity from a storytelling standpoint, but we'll still be going back to it through new graphic novel releases and the like, plus there's always the very small chance that the new continuity could reference the old one, with certain characters having memories of it and all.

It's hard to describe what I have in mind, so I'll try the best I can: I think it'd be cool to do something like this:

-Main wiki portal: covers the series from a real-world perspective, with articles on the actual issues, graphic novels, etc. it would see the series as one overall series rather than splitting them into the two canons. -Mobius Encyclopedia (old Sonic Comic Wiki): all the articles about old continuity stuff. -Sonic's Comic Book Adventures Wiki (New Sonic Comic Wiki): articles about the new stuff.

The two sub wiki's could cross reference eachother when neccisary (for example: the article for old-canon Sonic could direct the reader to the article on new-canon Sonic when the former article gets to the end of Worlds Collide).

Hope this makes sense. TheFatPanda (talk) 03:42, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

I don't think either would work. If we were going to do it though, don't create seperate pages for characters who have memories of both versions of the Prime Zone, just leave them the way they are. If a character regains their memories of the old Prime Zone, merge the old world and new world articles of that character together. On a side note, the current writers did say that just because the whole Prime Zone's changed doesn't mean that the old one will be forgotten. If you ask me, I think we should wait until after Countdown to Chaos is done to reach a final verdit on this. E-124 Poldege

Order of Comics??[]

I would like to get into these comics, for they seem interesting and comical, but serious too.

What is the order I should read them in? Should I start with Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Universe, Sonic the Hedgehog Archives, or what? If someone could please help me that'd be just awesome! :)

New Continuity Articles[]

Hey guys, I've noticed something fairly troubling: it doesn't seem like a lot of the new characters from the reboot continuity are getting their articles updated. Most of the Meropis characters and the gang from the "Dark Trilogy" are several issues behind so far as content goes. I don't get the comics anymore, so I'd appreciate it if we could get more folks working on these pages who actually have the issues. Just wanting to see Mobius Encyclopedia be the best Archie Sonic resource it can be. Also, any help on updating articles so that they reflect both old continuity and new continuity content would be much appreciated.--Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 20:26, December 22, 2014 (UTC)

Using Bumbleking as a source?[]

So recently the matter of material from Ian Flynn's Bumbleking Forums being included in articles-specifically in biography/story sections-has come up as an issue. I'm thinking that such material might be useable so long as nothing exists to contradict it, and thought that we might be able to include it as a "BKC" (BumbleKing Comics) reference. The trick would be turning each one into a link to the actual page where Ian or other staff have posted this information, wherever possible. What does everybody else think-should we try this or stick to posting such information under Background Trivia until/unless it appears in print?--Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 03:27, April 14, 2015 (UTC)

Worlds Unite-Overboard?[]

Hey guys, I had a thought cross my mind. While I am all about making the wiki a complete resource for fans of the Sonic comics, I'm wondering if all the articles for crossover characters isn't going a tad overboard. From the looks of things, a lot of these worlds and characters are unlikely to contribute much more to the series than did most of the Robot Master Army, and with a handful of exceptions they're all linked to a single page that redirects folks to the Mega Man Wikia. As such, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to condense things down and turn the character articles into redirects to their various franchise pages, which in turn will link them to other Wikias focused on those series. Now of course, major characters like Mega Man and X contribute enough that I think having their own page on the Wiki is justified, but I'm not sure the same can be said of Vyse's allies or the casts of Ghosts 'n Goblins, Golden Axe, Breath of Fire, and so on.--Spectre the Hechidnat (talk) 15:45, July 25, 2015 (UTC)
