Omega Improvement[]

Please post any suggestions on how to improve this article here.Fairfieldfencer FFF 11:47, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Overly Wordy[]

I've shortened it a little.Fairfieldfencer FFF 12:07, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

I've been looking over this article, and it still seems incredibly lengthy for one on a chracter that has only appeared in two issues. A good example of a concise article would be Silver Sonic II. There's a lot of relevant information there but it doesn't go on and on so the article is super long. I think this article really needed to be shortened before it could be an Article of the Week. - Dimitri the Echidna 22:33, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
How about now?Fairfieldfencer FFF 12:30, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
Done a little more work. Does anything else need doing before it can become Article of the Week, Dimitri?Fairfieldfencer FFF 11:44, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
I've done a bit of cutting here and there.Fairfieldfencer FFF 21:17, January 16, 2010 (UTC)
I've done more cutting. What do you think of it now? AotW worthy?Fairfieldfencer FFF 20:10, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

Background Info[]

Okay, I know some speculation for explanation makes sense, but a lot of this sounds like it's trying to come off as factual when it's nothing but a personal interpretation with very little to support it. "Linked sausage" was not a reference to anything. A long explanation about the text being difficult for the artists to interpret is pure speculation, and ending it with "so the writer made Omega's speech more natural and the words smaller" makes it sound factual (since it's given as a statement). The whole thing is blown out of proportion, anyway; Omega's speech is NOT that different from his in-game version. In his first game appearance, he says, among other things, "those guys" and "Well, that's a load of my back" - casual terms you would hardly expect reading this article. I'm sorry, but this makes as much sense as adding a note on Shadow's page about how the rockets in his shoes make for an uncomfortable fit, and that's why he's always frowning. Even if nothing contradicts it directly, it's still not factual. CrazyLea 01:30, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

I apologise. I'll get rid of the linked sausage bit and make the speech thing seem less factual. And Omega spoke more casually only in Sonic Heroes and one line in Shadow the Hedgehog that not many people have even seen. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, and even Ian's character Q&A portray him much more like a robot. And I also made note of his humanly Sonic Heroes dialogue by saying "usually".Fairfieldfencer FFF 07:19, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Romance Section[]

Good idea or not? Nothing big, just a little something like on NICOLE's article. Here's what I got for it.Fairfieldfencer FFF 12:59, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and added it, but if anyone has any objections to it, please state so here.Fairfieldfencer FFF 08:55, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Although Omega is a robot and has shown no romantic feelings towards anyone, he did show a touch of embarrassment when Rouge complimented him on doing a job well done with Feist, possibly meaning he feels somewhat attracted to her. (SU: #4)

Should we add one now because of this whole Blaze business?Fairfieldfencer FFF 20:47, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Ehh... I think people are kinda generous enough as it is with that section. It's called "romance," not "friendship, cute awkward encounters and teasing." I mean, it was basically his admiration for destruction that was played off to be silly, right? It certainly wasn't mutual, and I don't think we'll see Omega asking Shadow to deliver love letters anytime soon. CrazyLea 06:01, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
Your eyes burn with the flames of a forest fire, you move as elegantly as the smoke coming off a burning building, and my heated passion for you burns so badly only our combined destructive power could match it. Well? What do you think? Will you send it?
No.
I see your point.Fairfieldfencer FFF 16:16, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Updated Content[]

Omega Pictures[]

I'm on your page adding images and stuff!User talk:Duuz 1:10, 22 April 2009

I don't mind, and thanks for adding them.Fairfieldfencer FFF 18:48, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Personally, I think it looks a bit cluttered. Especially compared to an article like Sonic's that has very few on it's info pages PhoenixdaughterAM 14:28, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that's true. This article's a little more like Dimitri.Fairfieldfencer FFF 19:29, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Omega Number[]

If Alpha's's the first of the E-100 series robot's, then doesn't that mean Gamma's the third and Omega's actually the twenty-fourth? Sen10elS 17:18, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

It is a touch confusing, but Eggman himself stated that Gamma was the second (I think, the comic adaption maybe different from the games), and Ian stated Omega was the 123rd. [1] We have to go by the canon policy of this website, and simply list the mistake in the background information section.Fairfieldfencer FFF 17:54, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

I never played any of the games Omega was in so bear with me- since he's an E-100 series robot, shouldn't the 1 in his codename stand for that? If he's really #123, it makes more sense for his designation to be E-1123 Omega.Sen10elS 20:02, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

By game I meant Sonic Adventure. As for your above post, like I said before. We go by his canon name. The whole thing is a big mess really. Hopefully, the Sonic Encyclopaedia will be able to clear this up.Fairfieldfencer FFF 20:20, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Gamma was the second all right. I remember issue 82. Perhaps someone counted each of the E-105 Series individually, and saw that there were roughly 100. Good thing Eggman has been sharp as a bowling ball lately (comic and game). How many E-121 Phi units did Eggman build in Sonic Battle again? And there were at least two ZERO units in issue 81. Gazordenplatt 22:06, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Err...About 14, I think. Quite a few robots in the E-100 Series were never shown in both comic and game. It went: E-100 Alpha (ZERO), E-101 Beta, E-102 Gamma, E-103 Delta, E-104 Epsilon, E-105 Zeta, then skipped 16 models to go to E-121 Phi, and skipped another model to go to E-123 Omega.Fairfieldfencer FFF 08:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
And don't forget E-107 Theta mentioned by Sally in the MxYL storyline. Orca19904 01:06, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Omega Letter[]

I noticed that there was a greek letter on Omega's shoulder. Well, in Moebius, Buns' robotic armor has the same thing, except with a peace symbol. Has anyone else noticed that? MrWoof 13:24 April 30

Yep. It says so in the background information section.Fairfieldfencer FFF 18:40, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
