Wasn't it the grotto and not the actual Lake of Rings? Otherwise, this apparently ancient book of lore was written within the last twenty years. CrazyLea 12:54, January 30, 2011 (UTC)
Nope. Read the story in SSVHK. The ARTICLE was on the Lake of Rings, but what Knuckles found outside Robotropolis was actually the Power Ring Grotto. Sen10elS 15:57, January 30, 2011 (UTC)
- So again, the ancient Book of Myths has an article about something that's existed for less than twenty years and was apparently not known by anyone other than the creator but still managed to be known as "legendary." On top of that, the similar location whose existence probably COULD be ancient was not mentioned within the book. That doesn't really make a lot of sense. CrazyLea 18:57, January 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Let's face it- flawless continuity still wasn't exactly a high priority in those days of the series. The first issue of the Death Egg saga had Sally saying Sonic dove into it in #38 just BEFORE he lost his speed when the issue itself shows he found the lake hours after. If you keep that in mind when she also says that lake was the one in the legend in the exact same sentence, you would have to be a little doubtful of her accuracy or anything that would back her up there. The Book of Myths itself says that the real Lake's location has been lost to history anyway, so I'd be willing to bet that one wasn't the legendary Lake at all and still has yet to be found.
