Sonia the Hedgehog is the sister of Manic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog from the Sonic Underground reality. Because of a prophecy revealed by the Oracle of Delphius to their mother, Queen Aleena, she and her siblings were separated and hidden from Dr. Robotnik. Sonia was placed in the care of Lady Windimere, an aristocrat: as a result, she behaves in a rather spoiled manner. Despite this, she is an able Freedom Fighter, and helped Zonic the Zone Cop apprehend Evil Sonic after rescuing him from Robotnik's prison. (SSS: #10)

When Sonic mention Princess Sally, Sonia made a face of disgust possibly because she is jealous of the fact the Sally is a real Princess, while Sonia was only treated like one, though she is technically a princess as she comes from royal blood.
