Kintopolis is a city in an alternative zone of Mobius Prime, which is ruled by the heroic Dr. J. Kintobor as mayor, like the Dr. Ivo Kintobor of Moebius. Unfortunately, Kintopolis is plagued by frequent attacks from the giant chaos-radiation-mutated Mobians of Knothole Island that usually leave the city in ruins. That changed with the arrival of Sonic the Hedgehog, who used Mayor Kintobor's Giant Robotno to recover a Chaos Emerald shard in order to power more defense robots to protect the city and its people.
