Chaos powers

Janelle-Li is the daughter of Thunderhawk, the first and only female member of the Brotherhood of Guardians to date, and mother of the infamous Athair. She was fatally poisoned by Moritori Rex, though her death appeared to be from a natural illness.

Twice a Guardian

Janelle-Li fulfilled her duty as Guardian of Angel Island after her father and forefathers. At some point, she married an Echidna named Nemo and had a son, Athair. She had passed on the mantle to her son Athair when he was ten years of age, disappearing behind the fire wall to Haven. Shortly afterwards however, the Ancient Walkers appeared to Athair and informed him of a higher calling. They then transported him to Haven where he explained his new purpose to Janelle-Li. Recognizing that some other destiny was in store for her son, Janelle-Li returned to Angel Island to reassume the position of Guardian while Athair became Mitre of the Lost Tribe of Echidnas. Death and Afterlife

Some years later, Janelle-Li was secretly poisoned by Moritori Rex. Believed to have contracted a fatal disease, her ailing health provoked her grandson Sabre to ask his father to return to his role as Guardian. When Athair refused, Sabre went in his place, and as a result caused a rift between him and his father that has never healed. Janelle-Li died, and resides in the afterlife with other Brotherhood members whom appeared at Knuckles' funeral. (StH: #121, KtE: #11, CSE)

Background Information

Having only appeared a few times, Janelle-Li's depictions have varied somewhat. Generally, she was a pink echidna in a long robe (purple in one depiction, white in another, green in flashbacks) with slipper-like shoes. She was usually seen with a beaded bracelet on her left wrist and a band on her left foremost dreadlock. In two depictions, her short bangs were straw-coloured; in all others, they matched her fur.
