Gamma Flashback

E-102 Gamma and Sonic fighting.

Gamma was the second of the E-Series to be created inside the Final Egg laboratory. It served its master Dr. Eggman during his scheme to use Chaos to destroy Station Square, alongside it's robot brothers. This was until it came into contact with an imprisoned Amy Rose, whose pleading caused the robot to develope a soul, driving it to release Amy from her prison. From here on, Gamma decided that Eggman was its enemy, and took it upon itself to liberate the Mobini trapped inside its brothers. After succeeding in the cases of Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta, Gamma's mission culminated in a final battle against its oldest brother, E-101 Beta. Gamma managed to bring down Beta, but not before being dealt a final, deadly blow. Both robots where destroyed, and the two Flickies that powered them where freed. (SA/SADX)

As one of Eggman's destructive gunner robots, E-102 was built for battle. His two main weapon are a blaster on his right arm that could lock-on with help from a targeting device, and a second laser positioned on the right side of his head. Due to the targeting device, Gamma's shots were almost always accurate, and allowed for pinpoint accuracy to find an enemy's weak spot. The blaster's effectiveness was that it could fire three shots at the same time.

Gamma was also equipped with a jet booster that allowed him to hover for some time and cross longer distances in the air.
