The Dingo Regime was the armed organization of Dingoes under the leadership of General Helmut Von Stryker. As a militaristic society, the majority of the Dingoes appeared to be a part of this group, though some took on a life as civilians such as Harry. The Dingo Regime has been the enemy of the Echidnas for since the latter emigrated to Downunda, and has sought to wipe them out on numerous occasions. In recent years, it was sold out to the Eggman Empire by Von Stryker's son Kage. Under Kage's rule, the Dingo Regime managed to conquer Angel Island and enslave the echidna population, sending many to labor and concentration camps. However, Kage was subsequently killed when Enerjak returned, and the regime's troops were stripped of their uniforms and weapons and banished to the Sandopolis Zone to be with their former leader, Helmut Von Stryker. Since then the regime has managed to begin rebuilding and thrived in the desert.

History

War with the Echidnas
Edit
For unknown reasons the Dingo species was brought skyward with the Echidnas on Angel Island roughly five hundred years ago. It is unknown why the war started but it might have been due to the xenophobic nature of Dingoes in general. After raiding several compounds containing contraband technology, the Dingoes launched a nuclear strike against Echidnaopolis. The current guardian, Hawking, saved them and countless other lives by transporting both cities into different pocket zones, trapping both species away from the island which had been devastated by the fallout. (KtE: #5)
Return to Mobius Prime
Edit
After Dr. Ivo Robotnik unleashed his Ultimate Annihilator and weakened the dimensional barriers, both cities were temporarily destabilized and merged. During a brief battle between the two factions, they all took shelter in safety bunkers when the energies from their two cities existing in the same place and time from two different pocket zones started a destructive chain reaction. Eventually the dingoes' city was destroyed while Echidnaopolis remained. Forced to accept their ancient enemies terms, the dingo populace adapted slowly. Some enjoyed their new freedom of choice, such as Harry who became a cabbie. Protests against their perceived unfair treatment was commonplace though, especially regarding the slow efforts made to provide them with adequate housing. They did find a common foe for them and their old rivals to rally against in the form of the Dark Legion and the near omnipotent Enerjak who launched a major assault on the city, forcing the dingoes to join the E.S.T. in defending their new home. Eggman Empire's Enforcers
Edit
At some point during Sonic the Hedgehog`s year in space, the Dingo Regime allied with Eggman under the brutal Kage von Stryker. Supplied with the weaponry and equipment needed to crush and enslave the echidna race, Echidnaopolis was destroyed and converted into Cavem Canus, the Dingo City. All echidnas young and old, male or female were forced into labor or concentration camps, and the majority of echidna populace on Angel Island was exterminated by the oppressive Dingo Regime. Only a few remained free, living in terror from the constant dingo attacks while being protected to some extent by the Dark Legion which had ironically become the primary resistance group and hope for the echidna people at that time. Edit
Their supremacy was cut short when the chaos demigod Enerjak (who was reborn into Knuckles) proceeded to strip the dingoes of their equipment before banishing them to the harsh desert of Sandopolis. Kage von Stryker attempted to challenge the demigod, only to be torn apart atom by atom alongside Cavem Canus. (StH: #181)
In the Sandopolis desert, the dingoes grew strong and independent in their new environment once more under the leadership of Helmut von Stryker. Von Stryker told Knuckles (who was visiting the general to tell him the truth about Enerjak's identity) that it was only a matter of time before the dingoes made their way back to Angel Island. (StH: #186)
Organization and Uniforms
Edit

Added by Thot PradWhile operating under its own leadership, the Dingo Regime used gray and green uniforms. After joining the Eggman Empire their attire changed to a red design, sporting a more sinister design as well as high tech weaponry supplied by Robotnik. Becoming even more militaristic than before in their xenophobic hatred of the echidna race.

Background Information
Edit
The Dingo Regime is similar to the Nazi Regime of Germany in World War II, as both disliked a race/religion and kept them in labor or concentration camps.
