Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 76 was the seventy-sixth issue of the main Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

Key Events

Sonic and Sally save Mina Mongoose and several Mobians from Shadowbots.
Sally, with the help of Snively, implants a virus in Robotnik's main computer to prevent him from locating Knothole.
Snively departs from the Freedom Fighters after helping them.

Background Information

This was the first issue to feature Mobian background characters that were parodies of the girls of the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OVA anime.
Robo-Robotnik appears to the Freedom Fighters in his Eggman appearance, replacing his previous form that resembled his original form, like Robotnik Prime.
Tails receives his updated appearance from the videogames from this point on. However artists would sometimes still mistakenly draw Tails with eyebrows which were from his older design.
