[edit] Background Information

  • This is Steven Butler's first issue as head artist, having penciled the back story "Total Turbulence" last issue. He would be head artist starting with this issue until Sonic the Hedgehog #75. Since then, he became a reoccuring artist for the series.
  • This issue marks the first signs of Robotnik still being alive, though it is in fact Robo-Robotnik, and only his hand is shown in the issue. Parts of Robo-Robotnik would continue to be seen in various issues, but the character remained in the shadows until Sonic the Hedgehog #70 when the character was fully shown, disguised as the original Dr. Robotnik.
