Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 29 was the twenty-ninth issue of the main Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

- "Steel Belted Sally"
Dulcy makes her debut with the Freedom Fighters in this story. Sonic and Dulcy are being chased by a hover unit, and following its demolition, Sonic creeps in and finds what is revealed to be a portable deroboticizer. When it is taken back to Knothole, Rotor determines that there is only enough power for it to be used one time. Sally proposes to deroboticize Bunnie, but Bunnie suggests they use it as a backup in a plan to turn one of themselves into a robot saboteur to help bring down Robotnik. Sally volunteers to be the one. Rotor equips Sally with a Neuro-Overrider mechanism chip so that she retains her free will after robotization. After being captured in a phony chase, Sally's plan is put into motion, but during Robotization, the NO chip falls off, making Sally a full robot. Seeing their deception, Robotnik renames Sally Bot #3390 and uses her to capture the Freedom Fighters at their rendezvous point. Robotnik and Snively demand the return of the deroboticizer, but Sonic sasses Robotnik. Snively chuckles at this, but then sends them to Robotnik's tower for robotization. Dulcy flies to Robotropolis in time to stop Sally by using the deroboticizer on her. Before Robotnik can start the roboticizer himself, Dulcy uses her fire breath on his butt while Sally frees the others.

- "Growing Pains" - Part Two
Tails escapes Robotnik's Roboticizer, only to be nearly drowned by the Fiona duplicate. His life is saved after she rusts up in the water. Robotnik escapes in his Egg-O-Matic and leaves behind a big pile of garbage, including a list of supplies to be delivered to his underboss in Downunda. Before he can contact the Freedom Fighters about this, Tails decides to investigate this himself and heads to Downunda in his Sea Fox submarine, not noticing the Fiona duplicate shedding tears as he leaves.

[edit] Key Events
Dulcy joins the Freedom Fighters following her sojourn from Vusevo.
Sally is roboticized, but then returns to normal.
Dulcy exhibits her fire breath once before she is exiled from Vusevo and punished with the flame-inhibiting gold ring (revealed over one hundred issues later).
Tails finds Robotnik's list of supplies, thereby discovering the existence of his underboss "Crocbot" in Downunda, and starts his quest leading up to the Tails 3 issue miniseries.
