Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 28 was the twenty-eighth issue of the main Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

- "Saturday Night's Alright for a Fight!" - Part Two
Still following Robotnik's orders while under amnesia, Sonic and the Freedom Fighters duke it out, only for Sally, Rotor, Bunnie, and Tails to be knocked out. Sally's trainees follow suit and are beaten by Sonic, until Dylan hits Sonic in the dark with a sneak attack, causing him to regain his memory. Meanwhile, Robotnik's demolition tractors are still heading towards Knothole. With the Freedom Fighters help, Sonic manages to get the Tanks to fall over a cliff into the ocean, once again stopping Robotnik's plans.

- "Growing Pains" - Part One
Feeling betrayed by Sonic after being beaten up by him in the previous story, Tails goes joy-riding in his submarine the Sea Fox to blow off steam. Robotnik meanwhile sees Tails storm off and sends in a robot duplicate of Fiona Fox to gain Tails' trust. Tails falls in love with Fiona and the two start having fun with each other. Everything is coming up roses for Tails until he is tricked into going into a Roboticizer hidden on the island, with Robotnik revealing his treacherous scheme, while Tails screams in agony as the Roboticizer is turned on. - While under amnesia, Sonic unwittingly helps Doctor Robotnik beat the Freedom Fighters, beleiving the doctor to be the hero.
- After getting hit in the head and regaining his memories, Sonic and the Freedom Fighters defeat Robotnik.

- Tails encounters the Auto Automaton Fiona Fox.

- Robotnik refers to the Fiona robot as the leftover Sally duplicate from the Princess Sally Miniseries, but this is retconned as the robot duplicate of the real Fiona Fox that was created in the Prison camp where Sonic, Mighty, Ray and Fiona were taken to.
- The title is a spoof of the song "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting!" by Elton John.
