- "From Hero to Zero in no Time at All"
In Knothole, Sonic the Hedgehog defeats one of Robotnik's SWATbots by knocking it into a fountain of water, short circuiting it. Ash Mongoose, Mina Mongoose, and Amy Rose see the whole display, Ash is jealous while the girls are impressed. Later on Sonic meets up with Mina and invites her to walk down by the creek with him, telling her to forget about Ash for a while.
Meanwhile in Station Square, Nack the Weasel and Layken are having a semiprivate conversation at a local restaurant. The two discuss the possibly of stealing the Master Emerald from Angel Island and how it’s way too heavily guarded for Nack to even try. Rouge the Bat has overheard their entire discussion and decides to go after the emerald herself. She soars off to Angel Island to beat Nack to the Emerald.
Sonic spends some quality time with Mina, but she has second thoughts of cheating on Ash and leaves. Amy Rose then walks past to which Sonic starts flirting with her. Hours later, Tails discovers Sonic and Bunnie Rabbot making out behind the bushes and runs off upset.
Several more hours later, Bunnie and Sonic go their separate ways and head home for the night. It is then revealed that he is Anti-Sonic, who has traded places with the real Sonic and the whole thing was made possible by a plot to get rid of him by Anti-Antoine. However Anti-Sonic turned the tables on him and used Anti-Antoine’s scheme on him, replacing Antoine with his evil counterpart. As time went on, Anti-Sonic saw how good of a life Anti-Antoine was having on Mobius and decided to do the same.
Rouge the Bat arrives in Echidnaopolis, and is amazed at the reconstruction efforts going on. She decides to try and find someone who knows the lay of the land and starts flirting with Locke.
Meanwhile, Anti-Sonic is walking around Knothole and figures he'd go check up on "his" parents when he discovers one of Eggman’s Beta-Bombs. He decides to set it off since no one can tell the difference between him and his twin.
Back on Angel Island however, we see Rouge and Locke going on a nice little stroll through the woods, the two are flirting with each other now. Locke gets suspicious when Rouge figures out that he's the Guardian of the island and suspects her of something duplicitous. That train of thought is cut short when Rouge starts to disappear before his very eyes.
As it turns out Archimedes was the one who sent Rouge packing. Locke tries to explain that he was just trying to get information out of her, but Archimedes begins to yell at him instead for forgetting his common sense.
Rouge then appears in Knothole Village, and figuring that Locke saw through her little charade, she figures that she needs someone to act like a decoy while she steals the emerald. Anti-Sonic then sees her, hoping to make a move on her...
Story Two
Edit
- "The Chosen One: Part 2"
The story begins with a real quick recap of the events of last issue, which lead us into our present problem, which Tails is the Chosen One?
The massive horde of Miles Prowers takes a while to "debate" which one of them is the Chosen One. It is while they are discussing things that Tails slips off to face Mammoth Mogul himself. It doesn't take long for Sonic to notice that he's gone.
Tails discovers that the Zone Cops have been defeated by Master Mogul and that he has to do something before Master Mogul kills them all. Tails manages to get his attention, and almost gets blasted for his trouble. It's thanks to the very convenient rescue by Sonic that Tails survived that attack. Tails asks Sonic what's the plan.
Tails and Sonic get Moguls attention and forces him to tear the roof off of the building which holds all the various Miles Prowers. They all engage Master Mogul; however he just swats them away like the little flies they are. He was about to blast them away when Sonic shoved several of them out of the way, taking the brunt of Mogul's attack. Tails saw the whole thing, and believes that Mogul just killed his best friend.
It is at this moment that Athair appear to Tails telling him that his moment of destiny is at hand. It so that by combining all of the Tail’s present into an single being Tails' ultimate super form is born... Titan Tails! Titan Tails then begins to fight Master Mogul. He manages to defeat Master Mogul by absorbing all of his Chaos energy. It is at this moment that Sonic wakes up, and sees what Tails has become. There is a bright flash of golden light and everything is returned to normal.
Merlin and Athair watch from nearby as Sonic and Tails play around. Athair comments on the how special Merlin's nephew is. That he didn't let that power corrupt him and instead used it to return everything to the way it was, with one little exception that Merlin pulls out of his jacket. Mammoth Mogul is now trapped within his own Chaos Emerald until the end of time.
