Summary

Story One

"The Original Freedom Fighters" - Part One

Hope Kintobor is seen doing her research paper for school in the library, where she is surfing the web for any kind of topic interesting enough for her history class. She stumbles across a page dedicated to the Original Freedom Fighters, to her surprise. She prints out the information and walks outside as Sonic rushes past her, the speed's wind knocking her papers away from her hand. However, Sonic catches wind of her cries as he quickly recuperates the flying pages with his speed, apologizing for his actions. Hope acknowledges his accident and asks who Col. Stripes and the Original Freedom Fighters were. Sonic reminisces, and the two go for a walk.

He begins his telling of the Freedom Fighters with the characters: Colonel Tig Stripe (a White Tiger), Spot Long (a Giraffe), Sir Peckers (a Red Hawk), Private Trey Scales (a Snake), and MP Bull Bones (a Bulldog). He was 5 years old when Robotnik overthrew the throne and began his roboticization of the Mobians, and the Orig. Freedom Fighters helped direct the evacuation of the city, and was lost when he encountered them. Asking what he should do since he was separated from both family and friends, Stripes encouraged him to use his speed to evade the SwatBots and look for the princess and any other children, and to direct them to the secret HQ of Knothole.

Since Tig knew that fighting was futile and would cause defeat, he decided to abandon the city, and helped build Knothole Village. At night the group would plan their assaults and guerrilla tactics against the Robotnik empire. Sonic caught glimpses, and overheard their discussions, one of which was the official forming of the Freedom Fighters. Their adventures inspired the current Freedom Fighters as well.

However, peace wasn't found as a betrayal within the group was conspired...

Story Two

"I Want to be a Freedom Fighter!"
AmyMedal
Amy is awarded the Medal of Honor.

Amy Rose appears in her young form arguing against Sally with why she wants to be a Freedom Fighter. However, she is obviously shot down with the usual responses of being a: too young, and b: inexperienced). However, she just thinks that those are just excuses for Princess Sally to keep Sonic for herself.

However, this was just a flashback Sally has given to the audience in one of her speeches, where she is addressing a formal and official entry of the Freedom Fighters to Amy Rose. Amy Rose, visibly embarrassed by her past, still appreciates Sally's thanks, as well as her reasoning.

Sally still continues her speech with a motivation of why the efforts given by the Freedom Fighters still aren't enough, and how they must continue to seek more help, and hurt the evil empire with greater impact and efficiency. Finally, she awards Amy with a Medal of Honor for her help with the defense against Robotnik's offensive, as well as keep out radioactive fallout.

The two shake hands, and the crowd cheers for Amy Rose.

Story Three

Mobius: 25 Years Later: Moment of Truth

After getting a night's sleep and absorbing the recent events, Knuckles awakens to find that everyone else is already outside having breakfast. On his way down he is intercepted by Lara-Su, who begins pressing him once again about starting her Guardian training. Knuckles once again rebuffs her efforts, refusing to agree to her request. Meanwhile, Rotor and Cobar discuss their deteriorating situation, and Rotor proposes the radical idea of sending someone back in time. Back at Knuckles', Sonic discusses the pressure he is feeling over his station as king with Sally, citing her as the true authority over the kingdom. He and Knuckles then go to a video conference with the two scientists, where the two propose the idea of going back in time using the Tachyon Chamber, a device created by Dr. Robotnik. Despite the uncertainty involved, Sonic decides that it is their best option, and asks the two to meet him and Knuckles at the shuttle-port. He and Knuckles then briefly part ways to take care of separate business, and Knuckles overhears Lara-Su and Sonia bemoaning their fates: Sonia's doomed dreams of becoming queen, and Lara-Su's fading hopes of becoming a Guardian.

Key Events

Background Information

  • In ""I Want to be a Freedom Fighter!", it is mistakenly claimed by Sally that Amy used Sonic's One Billionth Power Ring to increase her age, when in fact she used the Ring of Acorns to accomplish this in StH #79#80.
  • The credits in ""I Want to be a Freedom Fighter!" misspell Steven Butler as "Steven Butlr".
