Summary[]

Story One[]

"You Say You Want a Revelation?"

Sonic, Tails and Uncle Chuck watch as the Royal Guards pack up Nate Morgan's belongings. Sonic wonders if it's not too late to save him, but Chuck assumes that, by staying in Robotropolis, Nate has probably become a robot. Sonic agrees, but has an idea on how to save him anyway.

In Robotropolis, Lady Agnes persuades Colin Kintobor to listen to Hope. Hope tells him that she thinks that Uncle Julian created the robotic animals that fled the city. Colin tells her she's being absurd when Dr. Eggman enters with Snively and tells them she got it right. Sonic arrives at Castle Acorn asking to see Prince Elias. Elsewhere in the castle, King Max and Queen Alicia look at a portrait of Elias, Max blaming himself for Elias running away. One of the royal guards tells King Max that Sonic, Tails and Sir Charles wish to see him.

Back in Robotropolis, Eggman announces to the Overlanders that they are all suffering from toxic waste poisoning and that they will die without treatment. Colin, shocked by the news, asks if Julian is affected as well. Eggman reveals that he is actually a machine and that with just one touch he can roboticize them, making them immune to the poison. Lady Agnes tells Eggman that he's insane, so the doctor calls his Shadowbots to force the Overlanders to convert. Colin asks Snively why he would betray them, but Snively just thinks of it as revenge for being under-appreciated. Colin punches Robotnik in rage, instantly becoming roboticized into a metal statue. Lady Agnes is horrified and tells Hope to run away.

Meanwhile, Chuck tells the king that Robotnik can now roboticize by touch. Sonic asks if the Sword of Acorns can restore Nate's free will, and Max believes it could, but only he and Sally could wield it. Sally enters saying she can do it, but the king rejects the idea, fearing her safety. Sally reasons with him that if she was trusted in the first place Elias might not have run away, and Max reluctantly accepts her request on the condition that Sonic escorts her. Outside, Sonic congratulates Sally standing up to her father, but Sally is distracted. Sonic asks if he's done something wrong, when Mina runs to hug Sally and thanks her for freeing her mother before zipping away.

Hope runs through the streets of Robotropolis while Eggman tries to goad her to come back through the city's televisions and speakers. He eventually promises to spare her grandmother, Lady Agnes, if she cooperates. Lady Agnes shouts out to Hope, begging her not to come, but Hope decides she can't leave her grandmother in danger. Eggman roboticizes Agnes, televising it through the city's screens for Hope to watch, as Shadowbots surround Hope. Sonic appears and destroys the Shadowbots while Sally tends to Hope.

Eggman wonders where Sonic disappeared to when he finds the hedgehog standing right behind him. He boasts that, since Sonic can't touch him, he's invincible. Sonic runs around fast enough that the floor beneath him crumbles, dropping him down below. Snively sneaks behind Sonic and kicks him down the hole as well. Sonic is shocked to find Nate as a roboticized statue along with Colin, Agnes, and Cheddermund. Sally and Hope show up with a number of Overlander refugees. Sally tries to restore the roboticized overslanders' free will, but they don't respond to the Sword of Acorns. Eggman laughs at their failure and tells everyone that it's their last chance to join him.

He tells Snively that he's been poisoned as well and offers to roboticize him. Snively tells him that he won't be able to move, but Eggman reveals that the secret to retaining free will when roboticized is to want the roboticization. Eggman and Snively shake hands, and Snively is robotcized. Eggman offers the Overlands the chance to be roboticized one last time, but Sonic, Sally, and Hope tell them that Eggman knew they would be poisoned and only wants to control them. Sonic, Sally, Hope, and the Overlanders leave Robotropolis. Eggman doesn't try to stop them, insisting that it would be better to watch them suffer.

Story Two[]

"Myth Taken Identity" - Part Three

Guru Emu enters an abandoned dam in hopes of saving his friends from the Bunyip. Inside, he finds a lab and discovers that the dam was built as Crocbot's early base of operations and was used to create hydroelectric power for building weapons, robot armies, and detention camps. He considers that Crocbot didn't realize the effects the dam would have on the environment, since the nearby rivers are dried up. Guru stumbles upon something shocking and, hopeful that his friends might still be alive, runs off to find them.

Meanwhile, Walt Wallabee congratulates Barby Koala for convincing the Bunyip to put them into an underwater observation deck. Speaking in an ancient Aboriginal dialect, Barby asks the Bunyip why he attacked them. The Bunyip tells them that its people and the creatures of Downunda were at peace until Crocbot arrived, destroying its natural habitat. Forced to live in the foul lake created by the dam, the Bunyip began striking out at everything, furious that it couldn't find Crocbot and make him pay for his evil. Barby explains that Crocbot's remains were turned over to King Acorn by Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails some time ago.

Guru Emu meets up with the rest of the Downunda Freedom Fighters and tells them that there's a room in the facility full of explosives. Walt sees this as a chance to restore the natural flow of the area's waterways, and the group blows the dam to pieces. The Bunyip thanks them for restoring Downunda to its proper states and swims away. As it leaves, Bill wonders if they should have asked the Bunyip to join their group. Barby and Walt agree that they can handle things as they are and they need to prepare for their next adventure.
