Summary

Story

"Wicked Sweet Shuttle Shenanigans" Part One

In Paris, as Big the Cat with his best friend Froggy fish, Nelson and Lindsay Thorndyke celebrate Chris's birthday at the World's Fair. Chuck explains to Tails that Chris's parents are there to unveil a new spacecraft by Nelson's company, while Lindsay is the spokesperson. Sonic, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Danny, Frances and Helen enjoy the fireworks over Paris. Topaz and Rouge, who are searching for Dr. Eggman after he was spotted in Paris in the last issue, are being followed by Emerl. Captain Westwood reports to the President, wanting to know why he sent Topaz and Rouge instead of him. Westwood still blames Sonic, Rouge and Topaz, and wants to prove that Topaz and Rouge are bad agents.

Back in Paris, Chris is told by his dad that he and his friends will be the space shuttle's first passengers for his birthday celebration. Doctor Eggman, dressed poorly as a Frechman, explains to Decoe, Bocoe and Bokkun that he plans to use the shuttle for his plans with the moon and has modified the rides of the fair for the distraction of taking it. Topaz and Rouge can't find Dr. Eggman and report back to G.U.N. in which Westwood commands them to return to make them look incompetent in the eyes of the President. Rouge suspecting that the space shuttle is the target wants to stay and ignore the orders, Emerl following them still wondering who he is.

The Thorndykes reveal the new space shuttle. Amy thinks how romantic it would be with Sonic. Dr. Eggman activates a device that changes four attractions into "deadly" robots; including a giant elephant, a snake rollercoaster, a robot morphed from a mini Eiffel Tower, and a giant mime.

While Sonic, Tails, Amy, Topaz and Rouge fight the robots and protect surrounding people, Dr. Eggman and his minions sneak into the space shuttle. Rouge, attacking the giant mime, doesn't know that Topaz is about to get flattened. Emerl, thinking that the girls know something about him, saves Topaz and goes back into hiding. Chris, spotting a helpless dog, manages to save him before he's crushed. Big and Froggy spot Dr. Eggman about to get to the shuttle uses his fishing line and snatches Dr. Eggman to him. Dr. Eggman saying to Big how will he stop him from entering the shuttle, Big punches Dr. Eggman's nose. Dr Eggman flees into the Hall of Mirrors and is followed by Sonic, Tails, Amy, Chris, Topaz, Rouge and Big. Emerl remembers that Dr. Eggman is his master and that he must protect him. Not being able to recognise what is a reflection and what isn't, Sonic spots the real Dr. Eggman, but Emerl is about to blast Sonic from behind...
