SummaryEdit

Story OneEdit

"Don't Cry For Me, Mobius!" (From Sonic Miniseries #0)
Part One

The issue begins with Sonic the Hedgehog running away from Dr. Ivo Robotnik, who is chasing Sonic and trying to blast him with "mega-muck". Sonic is abruptly stopped by Caterkiller, but dodges Robotnik's attack again, causing Caterkiller to be hit by the mega-muck. Sonic then speeds away into the Great Forest, splashing the muck all over Robotnik as well.

Going down the Great Oak Slide, Sonic meets up with Princess Sally, Boomer and Tails. Tails, admiring Sonic, asks him if he defeated any more robots. Sonic begins to brag, but is interrupted by Sally, who argues he may have left a trail for Robotnik to track him and locate their secret hideout. Sonic assures her his super speed prevented this. Antoine shows up and explains there is a leak in Knothole, which might allow Robotnik to locate them.

Part Two

Dr. Robotnik is sitting in his office with Buzzbomber and Crabmeat, when his monitor reveals a group of non-robots outside the Great Forest. Sonic and the others discover the leak to be caused by a group of trees "crying", as Robotnik had bulldozed many trees in the past in an attempt to locate the Great Forest. Robotnik then showed up on the scene with Buzzbomber and began attacking.

Sonic quickly runs to a well and grabs a Power Ring, giving him extra strength, allowing him to destroy Robotnik's ship. Sonic attempts to grab him, but Robotnik escapes while holding onto the back of Buzzbomber and flies away. Following this, the Knothole Freedom Fighters begin to plant new trees to replaced those Robotnik had destroyed.

Story TwoEdit

"Rabbot Deployment" (From Sonic the Hedgehog #3)
Part One

Sonic and Rotor head out to stop Robotnik from making deep inroads in South Mobius. When they get there they see two SWATbots put a rabbit in to a roboticizer. Sonic breaks the SWATbots but is too late to save the rabbit from being partially roboticized. They take her back to Knothole.

Part Two

The rabbit, named Bunnie, maintains her free will and has super-strength in her roboticized arm. She tells Sally she has always dreamed of being her royal hairdresser. That will have to come later as Sonic and Bunnie have to stop an oversized Burrowbot from destroying the Great Forest. Bunnie picks up the Burrowbot and throws it. Sonic then runs around the Burrowbot making a huge trench around it. The piece of land the Burrowbot is on collapses on itself burying the Burrowbot. When Bunnie returns she is made a Freedom Fighter.

Story ThreeEdit

"Lizard of Odd" (From Sonic the Hedgehog #4)
Part One

At the beginning of this issue, Dr. Robotnik is in his office waiting for his SWATbots to return from their hunt for a wild animal. Robotnik intends to roboticize the creature, but once it arrives, he finds out it is nothing but a mere salamander. Robotnik considers this to be an insult, but decides to robotice the reptile anyway. During the process, Buzzbomber accidentally turns on a switch that enlarges the salamander, turning him into a huge, robotic reptile named Universalamander.

Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends notice Universalamander on the radar screen. Sonic quickly rushes off to destory Universalamander, but in doing so he gets eaten by him. His friends watch in horror, thinking that their beloved hedgehog is gone for good.

Part Two

While Sonic's friends are upset over their loss, Sally points out that something is wrong with the Universalamander. Sonic turns out to be alive, and wriggles out of the robot's mouth. Sonic quickly runs off to collect his seven Chaos Emeralds and rings (he collected them earlier, but this isn't shown in this issue) and makes it into the Special Zone. Sonic realizes he hasn't collected enough rings to power up, but quickly grabs them. The power from this is so great, it turns Sonic into his super-form, Super Sonic.

Super Sonic quickly ambushes Universalamander, and instantly runs back to Rotor's workshop to get a shrinking device. Super Sonic uses the device on Universalamander, reducing him to a tiny salamander. Afterwards, Sonic runs back to party with his friends, but is still in his Super Sonic form.

Story FourEdit

"This Island Hedgehog" (From Sonic the Hedgehog #13)

Sonic and Tails scour the skies in their bi-plane looking for Robotnik's hovercraft, instead come across Angel Island, known back then just as the Floating Island. They are shot down by Knuckles under orders from Robotnik. Unwittingly distracting each other under Robotnik's pretense, Knuckles captures them and interrogates them as to why they are on the island, thinking they are there to steal the Chaos Emerald from the Chaos Chamber below the Island. Robotnik steals it for himself to power his hovercraft and take back with him to Robotropolis. By this time, Knuckles learns the truth, he free them, and teams up with Sonic and Tails for the first time, causing Robotnik to retreat. Sonic and Tails leave on their rebuilt bi-plane forging what would eventually become a real friendship and alliance with the supposedly alone Echidna.
