Summary[]

Story One[]

The Forgotten Tribe: Part Three of Three - "Journey's End"

With Yanar's life on the line, Knuckles the Echidna quickly comes up with a plan to save him. He tells Rob to shoot the rope tying Yanar to the gallows, asks Sonic to rush in and take Yanar to safety, and places Mari-An in charge of leading the Lost Tribe back to Deerwood Forest while he teams up with Tails to defeat the High Sheriff and the rest of Snottingham Castle's robotic goons. Fearing the safety of both the echidnas and the Robian Mercians, Rob creates a diversion by firing flaming arrows to start a fire.

Knuckles and Rob break up a fight between the Roboticized Friar Buck and the echidnas; realizing that the brainwashed Robians and fearful Mobians won't be able to coexist peacefully, Rob opens the castle gate for the rest of the group while he holds back the Robians. As they escape, Sonic and Tails decide that they won't tell Antoine that they found his father in Mercia. Rob stumbles upon some explosives and uses a flaming arrow to blow the castle to bits. He makes it out alive and regroups with the Lost Tribe, returning Zax and Raynor to the group while explaining that they had been resting in his tree hut the whole time.

In Haven, Locke, Sabre, Archimedes and Deo Volente assess Hawking's condition. Locke finds it ironic that their society went to war over the use of technology, but his ancestor now depends on technology to live. Deo argues that the echidnas went to war over the abuse of technology and states that the Dark Legion symbolizes that abuse while the Guardians symbolize goodness. Locke receives a transmission from Constable Remington, who reports that the Chaotix have accepted their role as deputy Guardians but were reluctant to accept Julie-Su as a part of their group. He also informs Locke that Lara-Le wishes to speak with him. Locke tells the Constable that he'll contact her soon.

Back in Deerwood Forest, Sonic and Tails find the Winged Victory and resume their hunt for Ixis Naugus. Yanar speaks with Knuckles, informing him that he had a vision of an incredible city, a white cliff overlooking a beach, and that he learned that "the other" that they sought is actually Rob. Knuckles ask Rob if he knows what Yanar is talking about, which causes Rob to fall into a trance and walk to a cliff overlooking the moonlit night. Feeling the siren's call, Rob spots a luminous city on the horizon. Meanwhile, Wynmacher informs Lara-Le that the Constable has heard from Locke.

Rob explains that he's acted as a sort of guardian for the distant city, never venturing towards it but keeping those unworthy away. Yanar explains that the Tomes hinted that, should Knuckles take a leap of faith, the way to the city will be clear. Knuckles steps on to the water, revealing it to be somewhat solid. Mari-An and Rob stay behind, wishing to live together, while the Lost Tribe heads across the water to Albion.

The tribe is greeted by Gala-Na, who explains that the city is the ancestral home of all echidnas. She invites them all to reclaim what is theirs and come live in sanctuary of Ablion. Knuckles, however, wishes to go back to his home on the Floating Island. Yanar tells Knuckles that Athair predicted this and left him a Guiding Star Gem to lead Knuckles back home. Knuckles looks back on the city, then uses the gem and disappears in a bright light.
